PJ Wallin is a Certified Public Accountant and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. He launched Atlas Financial to enhance and streamline the financial lives of successful individuals, families, and business owners.
All-in-one advisors are the future of the wealth planning industry. Simplifying the process by eliminating multiple agents — a CPA, insurance advisor, investment advisor, financial planner, etc. — makes managing your finances easier, clearer and more effective.
PJ has dedicated his career to the finance and accounting industries. Starting his career in Chicago with Big 4 accounting firm KPMG over ten years ago, he established a solid accounting foundation by working with several Fortune 1000 companies. Yearning to work more directly with stakeholders, PJ made the jump to a high-paced private wealth management firm in Richmond, Virginia and focused on assisting high net worth individuals and families. Within 3 years, PJ was managing relationships with many prominent Richmond and Fredericksburg families. In addition to his relationship management role, PJ also oversaw the tax department and served as resident expert on complex tax and retirement planning strategies.
Working with people to help them define and achieve their goals brings PJ the greatest professional satisfaction. Whether assisting a young lawyer starting his career or advising a seasoned business owner selling his business, PJ is proud to call himself a fee-only financial advisor, providing independent, unbiased assistance in the areas of financial planning, investments, and tax.
PJ received his Master of Accounting and BS in Business Administration as an out-of-state entrant to the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As an undergraduate, PJ balanced his busy class schedule with his roles as a member of the Varsity Men’s Swim Team and Kappa Sigma Fraternity.
While in the pool, PJ met the love of his life, Whitney, a Richmond, Virginia native. Originally from East Grand Rapids, Michigan, PJ cherishes his summer and holiday visits home to see family. PJ, his wife, their two young boys, newly added baby girl, and an energetic boxer reside in Richmond’s West End.
